Lyle Hogg

President and CEO

Captain Lyle Hogg began his career in aviation as a regional airline pilot for Pilgrim Airlines in 1981 flying the deHavilland Twin Otter (Dash-6), a predecessor of the Dash-8. He was hired as a pilot in 1984 and quickly moved through the pilot management ranks. In 1996, he was named assistant chief pilot at US Airways’ Washington D.C./Dulles crew base, and in 2005 became managing director, flight operations overseeing all pilot domiciles and more than 4,000 pilots. Most recently, Lyle served as vice president, flight operations for US Airways, overseeing the flight technical operations and flight training groups, maintaining the airline’s operations specifications and overseeing operations compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration requirements. He was instrumental in the success of US Airways and American Airlines achieving a single operating certificate. He also has extensive experience working with outside constituents such as the NTSB, FAA and aircraft manufacturers, among others. Lyle joined Piedmont in June of 2015.

Interesting facts about Lyle: Lyle was born in Canada and became a U.S. citizen in 2014. He recently took up sailing and now spends breezy weekends exploring the waterways of the Eastern Shore of Maryland.




Stephen Keefer

Vice President-Flight Operations

Steve is responsible for all areas of Flight Operations, including the airline's Flight and Inflight Services, Training, Dispatch and Crew Planning, as well as overseeing the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure the highest possible level of safety and efficiency. Steve began his commercial airline career in 2000 as director of Safety for Allegheny Airlines after serving more than 20 years in the United States Air Force. He retired as Lt. Colonel.

Significant achievement with Piedmont: Steve has served as vice president of not one, but two, Piedmont departments: Flight Operations and Safety/Regulatory Compliance.




Eric H. Morgan

Vice President-Customer Services

Eric has more than 30 years of airline experience and has worked, managed and taught in numerous roles during his tenure in the industry. He held positions as agent, manager, regional manager and director of stations prior to being promoted into his current role in 1999. As vice president, Eric is privileged to lead the Piedmont Ground, Express Training and Ground Equipment Maintenance divisions which include 4,000 employees in more than 80 locations.

Significant Achievement with Piedmont: Being a part of the Ground Handling team that has consistently achieved an aircraft ground damage rate of 0.9 or less for our customers for the past five years. "I am proud of our team's commitment to safety compliance to protect employees and aircraft."

Interesting fact: Eric completed five consecutive Seagull Century Bike Rides in Salisbury, MD.




William W. Arndt

Vice President-Maintenance & Engineering

Bill's first aviation job was at Minute Man Airways in rural Pennsylvania, where he worked as a mechanic. Bill later moved to Pennsylvania Airlines (which later merged with Suburban and became Allegheny Airlines) and worked as a mechanic, inspector, supervisor, director of Quality Assurance and director of engine programs, just to name a few positions. As vice president of Piedmont, he's now responsible for all aircraft maintenance, operations and facilities.

Significant achievement with Piedmont: "Combining two extremely talented and knowledgeable maintenance groups from sister airlines Allegheny and Piedmont into one team which we are very proud of."

Interesting fact about Bill: He's an accomplished singer and upright bass player who can be heard singing bluegrass at local festivals and charity events in Pennsylvania. (He may occasionally jam with others in the Maintenance department, as well!)




Terry Petrun

Vice President, Shared Services Organization, Materials Services Company

Terry marked 40 years with Piedmont in 2014. (Congratulations, Terry!) These days, he oversees the management and supervision of the Purchasing, Benefits, and IT departments, as well as aircraft purchasing/leasing and general administration.

Recent achievement: Terry recently oversaw the construction of Philadelphia International Airport's new Terminal F.

Interesting facts about Terry: He completed US Army Electronic Warfare School, speaks German, and was once in the diamond import business!




Julie Schell

Vice President, Safety and Regulatory Compliance

After spending several years with Allegheny Airlines and at FAA Headquarters, Julie joined Piedmont in 2005, working in the Safety Department as the Customer Service Safety Manager before transitioning to the role of Director of Safety in 2013. As vice president, Julie oversees all Maintenance, Flight and Customer Service Safety programs, as well as environmental, OSHA and regulatory compliance issues. Under Julie's leadership, Piedmont is currently working toward implementing a Safety Management System (SMS) as a structured means of safety risk management decision making.

Most significant achievement at Piedmont: Reducing the rate of aircraft ground damages and strengthening the company's emergency response procedures.

Interesting fact: Julie is a pilot and has a Master's Degree in Aviation Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Julie and her husband enjoy traveling with their two young children.




Perry Constant

Vice President, Finance

Perry is responsible for a 35 member department that oversees all areas of finance.




Michelle Foose

Vice President, Human Resources

Michelle joined our company in 1989 as a Human Resources representative.  As vice president, she now leads a team of four managers responsible for all recruiting, employee related rules and regulations, employment related litigation and employee relations.

Significant achievement with Piedmont: Integrating two HR departments during the 2004 Piedmont - Allegheny Airlines merger. “Selecting the best practices from both, then molding the group to form the support department that exists today.  We are proud of the HR assistance and support we provide to all departments and all employees.”

Interesting fact about Michelle: “My husband and I totally remodeled our 1950 home - one room at a time!”
