Crew Bases

Piedmont’s four crew bases are located in some of the country’s most affordable, family-friendly cities. Crew Base assignments are bid upon hire and are awarded based on seniority within the new hire class and vacancies available within the company.

Salisbury, MD is situated in the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula, nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. Located less than thirty minutes from Ocean City, Salisbury is within easy driving distance of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. Music and food festivals, beach events and outdoor living offer something for everyone in this ever-growing town.

Harrisburg, PA is located approximately 105 miles west-northwest of Philadelphia. Compared to the rest of the country, Harrisburg’s cost of living is 13.50% lower than the U.S. average. Experience Amish country in nearby Lancaster County, enjoy restaurants and brew pubs, culture and the arts in this state capital that boasts both urban and rural lifestyles.

Roanoke, VA is a five-time winner of the All-American City Award and is truly the “Star City of the South.” Roanoke is among the few metro areas that enjoys immediate proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most popular attractions in the national parks system. The city is best known for its downtown, “urban” culture and its restaurants, farmers’ markets, and art scene. Outdoor types will find plenty of like-minded sports enthusiasts hiking, biking and kayaking the city’s famous greenways. Roanoke was rated as one of the top 10 healthiest places in the U.S. by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.

Philadelphia, PA is a hub for the American Airlines network, and Piedmont's newest crew base for both the Embraer 145 and Dash-8 fleets. Philadelphia is a major metropolitan center offering some of the best music, food, culture and history in the country. From Philly, visit New York City in two hours, or head to the Jersey Shore.  Need to relax?  Amish country and quieter living is a just a short drive to the west.
