Bonus breakdown

Piedmont Cadet

Build time when you want, where you want. Sign on as a Piedmont Cadet, receive a $30,000 bonus and board the fastest path to American Airlines, no further interview. Enjoy industry perks and receive Piedmont support as your hours, training and experience grows..

Once Cadets complete the ATP-CTP course and exam, they are placed into the next available new hire class at Piedmont, with no additional interview required.

Pilots who complete the Cadet Program are eligible for the following bonuses:

  • $30,000 Cadet program bonus
  • $30,000 upon upgrade to Piedmont Captain and a commitment to flow
  • $70,000 upon flow to American
  • $50,000 additionally paid at flow, earned with qualifying days pro-rata over two years at Piedmont

New Hire First Officer

Piedmont new hire first officers receive a $15,000 signing bonus. Fly on the East Coast for American’s premier regional airline. Position your career, your life, in the center of it all.

Bonuses for new hire pilots who join outside of the Cadet Program:

  • $15,000 sign-on bonus
  • $30,000 upon completion of Captain upgrade and a commitment to flow
  • $70,000 upon flow to American
  • $50,000 additional bonus paid at flow, earned with qualifying days pro-rata over two years at Piedmont

And more for those who qualify:

  • $10,000 bonus for those with 121/135 experience
  • $7,500 type rating bonus for pilots already qualified on E145

Direct Entry Captain

Additionally, a $7,500 type rating bonus is available for those who qualify.
