[Salisbury, MD] –Piedmont Airlines, a trusted name in the regional aviation industry, is taking flight with new and extended bonuses for experienced pilots, increasing the competition for your expertise.

Beginning today, Direct Entry Captains (DEC) and High-Time First Officers (HTFO) with type ratings for Embraer 135/140/145 can earn an additional $50,000 in bonuses in addition to the $100,000 DEC and $75,000 HTFO experience bonuses that have just been extended through the end of the year. Pilots must apply by December 31 and begin class by January 31, 2024, to be eligible. Not to mention, the opportunity to bring your friends along and earn $25,000 for each successful DEC or HTFO referral. These exciting opportunities are designed to reward and attract top talent to join our dedicated team of aviation professionals.

“We value the experience and expertise that our pilots bring to our team,” said Eddie Leverton, Vice President Flight Operations. “To reward this dedication, we offer a 1:1 match for longevity credit and industry-leading wages. We are watching other airlines lose contracts, sell off airplanes and struggle to complete their schedules. It can be jarring for a pilot if you think your company isn’t on stable ground and with increased routes and a growing fleet, the stability Piedmont offers is unmatched.”

First-year Captains at Piedmont Airlines can earn $150 per hour with the opportunity to year more with year of experience and HTFOs have the opportunity to earn Captain pay starting at just 750 hours.

In addition to the type-rating, experience bonus, and referral bonuses, industry leading compensation, industry leading vacation and health benefits, Piedmont provides the best quality of life for our pilots too. “We have implemented new contractual work rules that include 12 days off per month and holiday pay. Once a Piedmont Captain completes 250 hours, they will be placed on long-call reserve for a minimum 12-hour call-out, offering more predictability and flexibility, “adds Leverton.

Regardless if you are a seasoned Captain looking to financially secure your future before retirement or a High Time First Officer looking to grow in your career, Piedmont offers unique opportunities for every experience level; including a contractual flow to American Airlines within five years or receive top-of-scale pay until the flow occurs. This provides a clear career path for our experienced pilots at any stage in their career, ensuring they have the opportunity to fly with a stable airline and with confidence.
