Piedmont Sponsors 10th Anniversary UNCF Charlotte Mayor’s Masked Ball

On Saturday March 23, Piedmont had the distinct honor of being a sponsor at the 10th Anniversary UNCF Charlotte Mayor’s Masked Ball, a fundraising event dedicated to celebrating education and empowerment. As a company deeply committed to community engagement and social responsibility, our presence at this event underscored our dedication to supporting organizations like UNCF and their invaluable contributions to the community.

UNCF, or the United Negro College Fund, is the largest scholarship provider to students of color in the United States. Established in 1944, UNCF’s mission is to ensure that all students have access to a quality education, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. Through scholarships, mentorship programs, and advocacy efforts, UNCF strives to empower students and help them achieve their academic and career aspirations.

Our participation in events like the UNCF Charlotte Mayor’s Masked Ball not only allows Piedmont to contribute to a worthy cause but also reinforces our core value of community. By lending our support and raising awareness about the importance of education, we are fostering a culture of giving back and making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.

Perry Constant, Piedmont’s Vice President of Finance, represented the organization alongside leaders from Piedmont’s Black Professionals Network Employee Business Resource Group and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team.  Their commitment to community engagement aligns seamlessly with Piedmont’s values both in the office and out in the community.

Sponsoring organizations that support underrepresented communities provides valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, inspiration, and the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others. Piedmont was honored to have Danielle Wright, a Success Coach from Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), and David Howard, Former Presidential FHWA SES Appointee and NCDOT Chief Deputy Secretary, join the team for the evening. Their presence highlighted Piedmont’s partnerships with education and government in making a difference in our communities.

Piedmont’s participation in the 10th Anniversary UNCF Charlotte Mayor’s Masked Ball strengthens our commitment to education, empowerment, and community engagement. By supporting UNCF, Piedmont is not only investing in the next generation of leaders but also upholding our values and making a positive impact in the world.
