President’s Award Winner Carli McColl Quinn

Piedmont Flight Operations

Nomination: Carli is one of our best OCC decision makers. She is a leader within her local community as well as at Piedmont, dedicated to volunteering for many organizations and ERG’s. This past year she has stepped up when called upon on her days off, whether to assist with TALON projects or to assist newer team members during IROPs. Carli is not only an outstanding team member but also a “class A” person. She leads with honesty, integrity, acute attention to detail and also the ability to take all those details and make a global decision. Lastly, I can always rely on Carli driving our ops with the ultimate highest level of safety and compliance, often suggesting better ways to upkeep standardizations.

This past year Carli led our summer IROPs and, being the most experienced dispatch supervisor, was the main decision maker in our daily operations for the OCC. We relied on her to mentor several others on how to handle challenging IROPs. Specifically, she even came in on short notice to help us when were in a particularly challenging IROP with limited time to recover. She has a calm composure in moments of uncertainty and can talk through the potential solutions. She knows when to take lead to position Piedmont Flight Operations to a better recovery. Additionally she has led many level 2 calls and is always very keen on detail, a great facilitator, and always has the recovery before being asked of it.
