Nomination #1: Throughout my time as an intern at Piedmont, Holly has gone above and beyond to help out in any way she can. She has consistently provided me guidance, and she brings a friendly and positive attitude to everything. Holly is a true team player who exemplifies Piedmont’s values of caring and community. Holly is willing to help anybody out in any area she can, whether that be confirming travel, calculating retirement, verifying dependents, or just answering general questions: Holly is always there. She has an expertise knowledge of company procedures, and I can’t imagine the travel team without her.
Holly confirms most if not all travel booking requests for team members, ensuring that everybody gets to where they need to be. Throughout this, she maintains great communication and truly goes above and beyond to do whatever she can to keep Piedmont running smoothly. She is always timely, friendly, and thorough in everything she does. Anybody who works with Holly can see her work ethic and dedication to Piedmont.
Nomination #2: I’m honored to nominate Holly Lumbard for the Piedmont President’s Award. Holly has been with Piedmont Airlines for over four years and on my team for nearly three. During that time, Holly has become an essential member of our travel department, someone we can always count on for her dedication, compassion and tireless work ethic. In every sense, Holly embodies the spirit of Piedmont’s values of caring, compliance, communication and community. Holly’s Nonstop Thanks awards consistently highlight qualities such as support, collaboration, organization, helpfulness, appreciation, hard work, willingness, consistency and reliability. Her combination of technical skill, dedication and kindness makes her a standout team member. I am proud to nominate her for this award as she is truly deserving of this recognition.
Holly is the very definition of a “yes person.” No matter the challenge, she approaches every request with positivity and determination. She takes great pride in ensuring every team member gets where they need to be, whether that means clearing e-seats, coordinating last-minute travel changes, or patiently walking team members through the nuances of our travel system. Her commitment to making sure everyone has a seat on the airplane reflects both her caring nature and her deep sense of responsibility toward her colleagues. Holly’s knowledge of the travel guide and related policies in this ever-changing world is exceptional. Holly not only applies these rules accurately but does so with fairness and consistency, ensuring that every team member is treated equitably. Holly’s approach is rooted in compliance and doing what’s right for both the team member and the company. Holly’s communication skills set her apart. She maintains constant collaboration with department leaders, confirming travel authorizations and aligning plans with policy requirements. She also works closely with American Airlines Employee Travel to ensure consistent and fair treatment across all work groups, a testament to her professionalism. Beyond her technical expertise, Holly contributes to the culture and community of our department in countless ways. She’s always the first to volunteer to help, whether that means setting up for an office collaboration, celebration or meeting. Holly brings warmth and joy to our workplace as our self-appointed “team decorator,” filling our office with sweet treats and holiday cheer all year long. Her creativity and generosity make our office a more cheerful, inclusive and welcoming place to be.
