Building Pathways Into Aviation Through Community Outreach

Piedmont Airlines continues to strengthen its commitment to inspire future aviation professionals through its partnership with the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. This summer Piedmont team members took part in the museum’s AeroQuest camp, a program designed to introduce students to aviation in an engaging and approachable way. Campers met Piedmont volunteers and learned about the many roles that support our operation, giving them a clearer understanding of how teamwork and curiosity shape the industry.

Through conversations with our team members, campers were able to see how many different skills and interests can lead to a future in aviation. Meeting employees from various areas of our operation helped students understand that aviation is built on collaboration and that every role plays an important part in keeping the industry moving. These interactions offered a meaningful look at the wide range of career paths available and encouraged students to imagine where their own interests might lead them.

Piedmont’s involvement with AeroQuest reflects our dedication to building strong community partnerships and supporting youth education. By helping students explore aviation in a fun and meaningful way, we continue to invest in the next generation of aviation professionals and strengthen our connection to the communities we serve. The experience at the Sullenberger Aviation Museum is more than a camp; it is an opportunity to inspire future leaders and show them the many pathways that can lead to a career in aviation.
