Piedmont Airlines celebrates top achievers with the 2024 President’s Award

Rolling out the red carpet at the Sullenberger Aviation Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina, Piedmont Airlines honored 25 exceptional team members at its 2024 President’s Award ceremony. The annual celebration recognized the lasting impact these individuals have had on Piedmont’s success, as well as their passion, leadership, and commitment to Piedmont’s mission. Among the recognized team members was Stefanie Cottle, who was all smiles as she reflected on the unforgettable evening. “I couldn’t stop smiling, I truly felt honored,” she said.

Our most prestigious award, the President’s Award, celebrates team members who set the gold standard when it comes to embodying Piedmont’s core values of caring, compliance, communication and community. These recipients take pride in living out our mission every day in their careers. Tiffany Jordan, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, received the esteemed Steve Farrow Award. The award is named after long-time Piedmont CEO, Steve Farrow, and recognizes an unwavering commitment to the positive promotion of Piedmont Airlines through a proven track record of performance and compliance and a commitment to caring for Piedmont employees.

“Winning this award feels amazing and gives people like me the confidence and motivation to always work hard because it doesn’t go unnoticed,” shared Stefanie, a Customer Service Supervisor who works in Piedmont Ground Handling in Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM). “I am extremely thankful to be recognized, and this experience will always be very close to my heart.”
Aavanth Ezhilan, Safety Data Analyst shares that receiving his award at the ceremony in front of his family felt surreal. “As a new team member at Piedmont and one of the youngest award recipients, I am grateful to be recognized for my work,” Ezhilan shared. “My heart was pounding when it was my turn to accept my award. The nerves quickly faded as I made my way to the stage thanks to the warm smiles I received from my department’s vice president and the President and CEO of Piedmont. Everything about the event from the museum atmosphere, the red carpet and having the opportunity to connect with senior leaders and my fellow winners made the event truly meaningful.”
More than 250 nominations were submitted from team members across the organization. Piedmont’s Leadership Team completes a rigorous evaluation of each nomination to select the top 25 achievers. Together, the honorees bring 255 years of collective service.

This year, Piedmont recognized its winners at an awards ceremony at the Sullenberger Aviation Museum, where Piedmont’s senior leaders, President and CEO Eric Morgan, and two former Presidents Lyle Hogg and Steve Farrow, celebrate their successes. The celebration included dinner and the opportunity to tour the museum, featuring the US Airways Airbus A320-200 that made an emergency water landing in the Hudson River commonly known as the ‘Miracle on the Hudson.’ All winners received a personalized trophy and gift item along with $2,000.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our 2024 President’s Award winners,” Morgan said. “These individuals represent the ideal of what we strive for, embodying the values that make us who we are and inspiring everyone around them. Their dedication to excellence drives our success, and this award is a small way for us to honor their hard work and commitment to our mission.”

Stefanie reflected, “the immense amount of love and support I felt from everyone in attendance really showed me that we are all family here at Piedmont.”
