Becoming a Piedmont Flight Attendant takes approximately 9-10 weeks. After a job offer and pre-employment screening, you’ll complete training in Charlotte, North Carolina. This includes classroom, hands-on, and computer-based learning. Following this, candidates will gain practical experience with an instructor during Initial Operating Experience (IOE).

Are there physical restrictions?

Yes, a career as a Piedmont Airlines Flight Attendant offers an active and varied experience. You’ll be moving throughout the cabin, walking, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting items as part of your service duties. Candidates need to be able to push and pull service carts and other objects over 150 lbs. Being comfortable standing for extended periods and communicating with passengers is essential.

  • Height & Mobility: Must stand between 5’2” and 6’0” and be able to move through cabin aisles and operate emergency exits.

What is reserve?

Types of Reserve at Piedmont Airlines:

  1. On-Call Reserve: Flight Attendants must be available in their assigned base during assigned reserve days to be called for trips, sometimes with short notice.

Am I eligible to jumpseat on other airlines?

Yes, Piedmont Airlines Flight Attendants are eligible to jumpseat on other airlines after they have been employed for more than 6 months and 1 day and provided there is a reciprocal agreement in place. Jumpseat travel is space-available and not guaranteed.
